The search service can find package by either name (apache), provides(webserver), absolute file names (/usr/bin/apache), binaries (gprof) or shared libraries (libXm.so.2) in standard path. It does not support multiple arguments yet...

However, there is no way to specify that you want to translate the path into the current, native OS format without guessing at what that format is (which may include peeking into '@File::Spec::ISA').
